Walter Reed Post Acute Named One of America’s Best Nursing Homes 2026

Walter Reed Post Acute has been named one of America’s Best Nursing Homes 2026 by Newsweek, marking its third consecutive appearance on the national list. This recognition follows another major achievement: Administrator Bryant Hudgins was honored as the 2025 Nursing Facility Administrator of the Year by the Virginia Health Care Association – Virginia Center for Assisted Living.

Part of the Virginia Health Services portfolio and supported by Marquis Health Consulting Services, the 181-bed skilled nursing facility in Gloucester, VA was recognized for excellence in resident satisfaction, accreditations, peer recommendations, and performance data. Walter Reed Post Acute offers post-hospital care, short-term rehabilitation, long-term care, and specialty clinical programming. The center also holds a Five-Star Overall CMS rating and the 2024 AHCA/NCAL Bronze Commitment to Quality Award.
